Dear Friends and Family,
Hello from Cambodia! I hope and pray this message finds you all doing well. We are in the process of wrapping up many projects and preparing to return to the USA for deputation.
The Cambodia Community Bible Institute (CCBI) is facing some major decisions in the coming weeks.
There is no question that CCBI fills a vital role in the Cambodian church providing ongoing training and discipleship for leaders around the country. I recently spent some time interviewing some of our students. They all expressed how much CCBI had helped them not only in their personal lives, but also in their families and in their various ministries.
In the next two days I will be having a meeting with our local program director and a board meeting that will discuss some difficult staff issues we are confronting, and to look at what future direction we want the ministry to take. These are important decisions that could have long lasting effects. Please pray with us for God’s wisdom and guidance in these issues.

Next week our family will be traveling to Bangkok, Thailand for medical testing. Just before each deputation cycle in the USA we are required to go through extensive medical check-ups and testing. Having these tests done in Bangkok saves us considerable time and expense. Please pray that there would be no problems that would come up and that we would all be found healthy.
In addition, this trip poses some difficulty due to recent political unrest in Thailand. The hotel and hospital we will be visiting are not in the area currently being affected, but the situation is very fluid and unstable. A year and a half ago Troy was stranded in Bangkok over the Thanksgiving holiday when political protesters shut down the airport for over a month. Although unlikely, a similar situation is not out of the realm of possibility. Please also pray that things would remain calm, and that the situation would be resolved peacefully.
Finally, we are still trying to finalize our plans and schedules for our time in the USA. It is a major transition for our entire family. Please pray with us as we continue to make plans.
